[Don't have to read this on the show]

Loved hearing about Ed's Fire Emblem spreadsheet. I did the same thing (except I'm old so I wrote it in a notebook.) Also I'm totally that guy: Golden Deer House but I have stolen every female from the other houses. Petra first, of course.

The more I see from death stranding, the less excited I am about it. I'm starting to think Kojima needs someone above him to tell him that names like Die Hardman, Heartman, and Deadman are extremely stupid. I think its kind of ridiculous that we still don't really know what the gameplay loop is in this game. No gameplay I've seen has given off that wow factor like MGSV did before launch. Seeing all those new MGSV mechanics before before that game came out didn't take away from the mystery of the plot of that game. Hopefully Death Stranding is more than just bridging dots on a map as you play as some guy actually named Sam Porter Bridges.

A little concerned about Kojima's fascination with Hollywood as well. As time goes on, it appears less him paying homages to how Hollywood has influenced his work and more about working out his movie director fantasies through the video game medium with varying results. True enough, he has a vision and indeed no one else does what he does for games. But he has made some design choices which make his games more like movies in some aspects. He also subscribes to the cult of celebrity, looking for big names to plaster on his movie poster-esque cover art for Death Stranding.

But with any 'Artist With A Vision,' they always need a staff to make and mold that vision into something that works. Hopefully Kojima's production staff keep things focused and the gameplay crisp as ever.

Quick question Nolan, when you stopped playing Xenoblade Chronicles X did you stop before obtaining the flying mechs or after?

The game is really rocking. I have no words to explain how I feel about this game. This is superlative and could be more outstanding if some more wacky guns and tools they will introduce in the game.
