4Player Plus - God of War (2018) Spoilercast

The latest entry in the God of War franchise has been out for a bit and it took the gaming world by storm thanks to a surprisingly thoughtful story and a completely revamped combat system. Now that the dust is settled, we take a look back at the game and go into more detail than we were able to on the regular podcast! We spoil the story and characters and then give our final thoughts on the game from a mechanical standpoint.

4Player Plus is recorded weekly on Monday night's at around 8PM (CST). If you have any feedback, suggestions, or ideas for future topics of discussion, please email

100 times Nick?! This is why you go to Niflheim and upgrade your equipment :) It just took me 4-5 tries that way.

Also Mimir says about the world serpent to Atreus: "He said you look familiar"; pretty cool!

I ain’t got time for that! Not really, I did. But honestly, I did not consider Nilfheim to be a fun use of my time. I wanted to experience the Valkyries but I didn’t want to grind for hours on end.

With that said, I do feel that this game is designed well enough that you can overcome most obstacles regardless of level. It’s very much (forgive me) like Dark Souls in that way. I may have fought that Valkyrie a shit ton but believe it or not, I enjoyed (almost) every minute of it.

I feel you. And no hate for Dark Souls references from this guy.
