With major releases like Supergiant's 'Pyre' and Fullbright's 'Tacoma,' it's certainly starting to feel like the big release season is looming just around the bend. Nolan also talks about his time with 'Hey! Pikmin,' Nintendo's first handheld foray into the beloved franchise. Despite all that, we still find time to crack jokes about Bad Rats and devolve into tangents about 4Player tattoos.

On the topic of trash TV. Property Brothers is not. It is actually very informative if you put aside your arrogance.

After the Get Even description last week i vote that Chris Davis always has to describe games he has played by naming other games with similiar mechanics.

I need an updated status on everyone's Horizon: Zero Dawn progress. I just completed it. I've also played Zelda, Nier, and Persona 5 meticulously, and would not have guessed that Horizon would be the one that stood apart.
Often with open world games, I ambitiously set out to complete everything the game has to offer, only to give up 10-12 hours in and just mainline the story the rest of the way. Horizon, however, I had nothing left to do and was sad about it.
Some of the cinematic stuff in this game was just so darn good and memorable, especially some of the later hologram stuff. I hope everyone on the staff experiences it.
Some of the side characters, quests, and writing was Witcher-3-esque.
Disclaimer, I waited to play it until I could afford a fancy new TV. So maybe that helped. Normally a games graphics wear off on you, but I stopped and admired this game multiple times from beginning to end.
In summary. Game of the year. Sorry RE7.

Since Horizon is was mentioned on the show, and in the comments i figured i would chime in with how i am feeling about that game. I have not finished it yet, but i have invested alot of hours into it.
Horizon: Zero Dawn is the most disappointing game of 2017 so far for me. Part of the fact that made it so disappointing is that it has been compared to masterpieces like the witcher 3.
The witcher 3 has a strong cast of core characters with superb performances, and they are given room to show individuality. Horizon has none of these things. It has characters with flat delivery that feel like they will disappear when you go to your next quest.
It feels like a game that copy pasted from other games without capturing the heart and soul that made them click.
I really wanted to like Horizon. Which is why it is so disappointing that i did not. I have more negatives i could bring up, but this comment is long enough already.
