I agree that just cause a new game is designed like an old game doesn't mean its bad. I haven't played a retro platformer in years so I'm really looking forward to playing yooka laylee, in fact another old school style game that I've been getting into is Drawn to Death (admittedly it's because of brad begging people to try it during one of his streams). That game definitely deserves higher review scores then its been getting, the metaphorical dance of death that you do with your opponent is so fun I wish more games today did this.

Are you telling me Brad isn't announcing these games!? My mind is blown.

Meh, the Switch is a handheld before it's a home console. Why? Because home consoles don't melt when they are plugged in to your tv. It boggles the mind how Nintendo missed the fact their new creation doesn't have enough cooling power when it's docked, leading to warping, bending, and melting. Try all you want to wish Nintendo to do well, they just can't keep up with Sony and Microsoft. Just hope they will realize this and move on before they take another kick to the balls and become the next SEGA; just make games Nintendo, you'll do way better if you just go and focus on that.

ATLUS is basically being that guy who comes to work and hears you talking about the new Marvle movie that came out, and they say "Hey, don't spoil it for me! I haven't seen it yet!" Know what I tell those people? "Then cover your ears, because I'm not going to stop talking about it."

The worst sound in the world? Easy. "Pull up. *beep beep* Pull up. *beep beep* Pull up." Translated means: "You're fucked."

Congratulations guys, the podcast I host also just made it past it's own 500th episode. Been going since 2007, and it's been a blast. For those of you interested, it's called Anime Pulse.

Krispy is 100% correct; in Japan, the high school "thing" is abundant AF.
Speaking of Krispy, I think his speech about Nier: Automata made this podcast one of the best I've listened to. Something about his genuine reactions to the ups and downs and lefts and rights connected with a lot of the emotions I've felt playing some games in the past. I had no real interest in the new Nier, but Krispy's recount of his experience with it has piqued my curiosity to 11.

Here's to the 500th podcast being even more of delight!

To Krispy's point about how the Japanese mostly make their settings in High School, that is something unique about Japan. High school is generally conceived there as the best time for a Japanese citizen while College is generally not seen in the same light. Because of this, a lot of anime/game studios in Japan will milk this setting to death in order to capture the nostalgia high school for many who believe that time to be the happiest they've ever been. It's not like that in Japanese colleges where the work ethic there is a complete joke to the point where it's not even worth going to every class you take.
