With respect to persona, the common consensus I hear from you dicks when discussing the game is that playing through a persona game can be a chore, even though you all generally praise the game. I picked up P4 Golden on Vita as my first entry in the series and only got about 4 hours in. I find the ratio between talking/ playing to far on the talking side and coun't be bothered. Maybe I just needed to invest more time until I got to the meat and potatoes of the game.

Here's two reasons why you're wrong Nolan in thinking the Persona 4 Golden Chie's voice is worst than the other:

    1. The Golden one actually sounds like a high school student and not a 40 year old woman from the last voice actress.

    2. Erin Fitzgerald (the Golden VA) is based and that is a fact. ;)

In all seriousness, her voice will grow on you after a while. If you can get through hours of Vanille's voice in FFXIII, you can get through Chie's. :P

    Dragon Age - Griffins
Brad asked why Griffins don't help you in Dragon Age. Sounds like someone needs to read up on their Dragon Age Lore :P
Griffins are actually extinct in the Games. The book Brad read must be set hundreds of years before the games. However I bet that in a future game you will find the last of the griffins in a quest line or something. Flying mount?

    Dishonored - Save Scumming
I don't mind save scumming in dishonored, especially with the high/low chaos feature they have. If you are playing stealthy in this game, you are mostly likely going for the low chaos ending. And I just don't like that fact that you can make a simple mistake that will lead to the death of 10 guards like Krispy at the wall of light. I played Thief without save scumming because when I did fuck up and have to kill people, it didn't have any effect on the rest of the game.

Brad nailed one thing that bothered me about the first Dishonored game that's made a return in Dishonored 2. I dislike the mana system they have, especially when playing on harder difficulties. It's annoying how when you keep using your abilities it eventually depletes that bar to a point where you can only use blink.

I played the first Dishonored feeling like I shouldn't be using my abilities, especially not the cool ones that take away larger chunks of mana because I thought "What if I need it more for a later challenge?" It reminded me of the battery system from 'Deus Ex: Human Revolution' a bit.

What I wish it had in it's place is a cool-down system instead, or at least being able to unlock a mana-less cool-down system later in the game for specific abilities, that way you're never limited to those mana vials you find. You'd use an ability then just have to wait a few seconds before you could do it again (longer cool-downs for stronger abilities). Punishing a player for using these fun and different abilities in the game just seems odd and doesn't add much to the experience for me.

That's pretty much my only complaint with Dishonored, and despite that I had a ton of fun with the first game and I'm looking forward to trying the second once the PC issues are mostly patched away~

I apologize for being late to the party but, in reference to last weeks question about local news and video game stories.

I am a producer at an ABC affiliate and can say a video game story would be considered more consumer relevant than entertainment focused, which is why you don't see them a lot or in a good light. Also everyone in the industry is 100 years old and still call the DS a gameboy.

On a side note, one of the benefits of being a producer is that, for example, when the Switch announcement trailer came out, I chose not too run it because, in my opinion, its garbage and doesn't deserve the hype or recognition Nintendo wants around it.
