While we were in Los Angeles for E3, we had the opportunity to attend a rooftop mixer called 'The Mix' which showcased a bunch of awesome new upcoming Indie Games (Our good friends at Next Gen Pants were there with 'Refactor'). There was a lot of great stuff on display but the one of the few that stole our hearts and had us instantly itching for more was a charming little couch-co-op game from 'Ghost Town Games' called 'Overcooked'.
The game challenges teams of players to manage the kitchen of busy restaurants set in exotic and often hilarious locations. Players must race against the clock to communicate their needs and create all kinds of food for the ravenous patrons! Scenarios can get somewhat complicated but I think the video above will do an adequate job of explaining and the race to learn the rules of each scenario is half the fun. As you might expect, this is a game all about communication and if there is ONE thing that we're good at here at 4Player... it's communication! Enjoy!
'Overcooked' is slated for release on PC, Xbox One, and Playstation 4 on August 3rd, 2016. This video was produced using an early preview build of the game provided to us by the good folks at Ghost Town Games. Haaahahahah. I get a feeling certain players were not understanding the basics of the game, but this was great to watch. I always like seeing you guys get together to play, it's much more fun than a single person on stream.
