Titanfall was a slam dunk for Microsoft, and is one of the oft-cited successful exclusives for their set of consoles. Many Playstation gamers looked enviously at the release, and this undoubtedly had a hand in the swirling rumors of a non-exclusive sequel. For a time, this hovered around strange wording and blind hope, a source close to the Wall Street Journal reports:
Microsoft has benefited from the Xbox-exclusive shooting game "Titanfall" from Electronic Arts which was the best-selling title of March and April in the U.S. But its follow-up game, which is in the planning stages, also will be available for the PS4, a person close to the development effort said. EA declined to comment.
What this means for the Xbox One is uncertain and possibly concerning, but the end result is a point for the greater good: more gamers will have access to a likely awesome game, and that always gets a thumbs-up in my book.

Titanfall didn't sell that well on Xbox One. In fact, it's already become impossible to find full campaign mode games (on all platforms), locking new players out of unlocking the other 2 titans.

Hmm, already a sequel? Well at least PS4 users can have a taste.
