At PAX East 2014, Nick and Krispy were fortunate enough to get some time with Klei Entertainment to try out Invisible, Inc. Originally titled Incognita, this turn-based tactical espionage game stays true to the espionage genre but twists the tactical RPG genre by almost completely stripping the game of combat. There are a lot of underlying systems at work in the game, too many to get a handle on in just a 20-minute demo, but what we played was slick.

Below, Nick and Krispy give their impressions of what they played:

All in all, Invisible, Inc. was one of the strongest and most interesting titles at the show. Where the development goes from here, and how all of its complexities pan out in a final release, will be seen in due time.

I've been playing this game off and on during their alpha phase. Klei's always done some impressive work, though. It's still quite a bit of fun in this early stage, though. Especially after hearing you guys explain how to succeed better. Guess I was thinking too much of like straight-up XCOM.
