PAX East 2014: 'Crypt of the Necrodancer' Dances the Fright Away

Crypt of the Necrodancer has made appearances at multiple conventions, but this is the first time I ever took a crack at it and man is this one sweet game. I’ve always enjoyed rhythm and dance games- I still find Rock Band fun, even when no one else in the room still cares- and this seemed like a neat twist, but I doubted that the combination would be compelling.

Boy, was I wrong.

Some combination of a love for slaying monsters and the pretty sick music got me totally absorbed, to the point where I was rocking along to the music alone and finished nearly an entire level by myself. It was awesome. This game is awesome.

Crypt of the Necrodancer releases some time in 2014 for PC, Mac and Linux, and I for one cannot wait.
