Update: Game Informer's cover today is indeed Batman: Arkham Knight! Go check out their site to get the confirmed details.
Original story:
Rocksteady Studios, developers of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, have been hard at work on Arkham 4 since City's 2011 release. Tomorrow, it may be time to find out what the caped crusader's finest gamemakers have in store for us next.
Where did we get this idea? Well, Andy McNamara, editor-in-chief of Game Informer, tweeted this earlier today:
Cover reveal/digital issue launch tomorrow. I won't spoil the cover, but I can answer the next biggest question, yes Game Infarcer is in
And DC's official Youtube channel today posted this sneak peek video of a special announcement in their video game episode tomorrow:
This tweet also includes a photo of an Arkhamverse-styled Batman logo hanging in a Gamestop. Awfully peculiar that a logo in a different style than Asylum, City, or Origins' logos would just happen to be hanging up the day before a big new reveal, eh?
Finally, the previously-claimed web site http://www.batmanarkhamknight.com/ is now active, though it is currently locked off.
Knowing all of this, we can ask what will this new game be about, and the Arkhamverse fan site has compiled a relatively convincing post filled with why the villain of this new game may be Hush. Hush made a small but meaningful appearance in Arkham City, and his presence was left with the game's equivalent of a To Be Continued. As a big fan of Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee's excellent Batman: Hush story in the comics, this rumor is hype.
Consider me excited already. Tomorrow could bring some awesome news.
