By now, many of you have already seen a fair amount of Southpark and the Stick of Truth via Nolan's late night broadcast or by playing the game yourself. Fans of the series have plenty to be excited about given the involvement of Trey Parker and Matt Stone in the development of the game. It really is amazing to see the creators of this lucrative and long-running TV series take such a huge role in the development process.
Following the fallout of the THQ bankruptcy debacle, it was uncertain as to whether or not the game would actually see the light of day. Now, after many delays, this RPG inspired by Lord of the Rings and brilliantly (and hilariously) meshed with the lore of the TV show, has finally arrived (much to Nolans delight). The game is developed by Obsidian (Fallout New Vegas/Aplha Protocol) and published by Ubisoft (formerly published by THQ) so there is both reason to be excited and cautious. With that said, we are excited to play the finished product and hope to walk away with one of the only good gaming experiences in the franchises' long history.
You can hear our first impressions of the game on tonight's Podcast starting at 8:00 PM (CST) on 4pp.tv and you can look for the official New Release Tuesday video on YouTube tomorrow (we will update this post with the video once it is available).
Who out there is picking the game up? For those who have played it, what are your initial thoughts?

I'll pick this game up when it gets cheaper since money is a bit tight right now for me. The game looks fun from what I have seen, which really has only been about 2 hours of the midnight broadcast Nolan did. The game has that classic South Park humor you expect out of the series which makes sense since the creator of South Park were involved in this games development. Either way I'm excited to hear what you guys have to say about this game on the podcast, especially Nolan since he been waiting so long for this game.

I picked it up yesterday (release day in Spain) and played for 4 hours. So far I'm really liking it, but then again I'm a huge South Park fan so maybe that's why I find it hilarious. At first I had a hard time getting used to the rhythm of the battles but now I find the mechanics are very natural. However, it's a bit on the easy side: plenty of health potions and very strong attacks (I'm playing as a Warrior and some people say Mage is even easier).
P.S.: I'm playing the PC version, I haven't run into any bug so far and as announced this version is not censored.
