Here we have a special new episode of Trailer Talk! Brad talks about the recent gameplay demo for Middle Earth: Shadows of Mordor. Yeah, it kinda looks like Assassin's Creed, but Brad remains hopeful that this title by Monolith can improve upon the issues Assassin's Creed has. The Nemesis System, combined with procedurally generated targets and the Wraith powers, could be enough to push Shadows of Mordor to be more than just a clone.

Great trailer talk. The first time I saw this trailer on Nick's post it only showed Xbox One and 360 which made me worry because I would rather play this on the next-gen, but I don't have a One yet. So I'm glad its being released for the PS4.

I'm excited to see if Shadow of Mordor's open world works like crackdown. I have faith in Monolith making this game work, and its good to see innovation in gameplay coming from an non-indie developer.

It seems like Warner Bros. is trying to build a reputation as a publisher that makes good licensed games. After the Arkham games, we got Mad Max announced and now this (Granted we have yet to see what delivers.). This could be pretty cool down the line as a lot of franchises deserve good game based around them.

As for Middle Earth, it looks alright. Looks like something that would be fun to pick up at Gamestop for $15 in a year or two. I agree this "influence" system sounds cool.

I have the feeling that Shadow of Mordor will be more scripted than what we expect, seems too good to be true that it'll be truly systems driven, as the video somewhat implies. Nonetheless, I'm still interested in seeing more of the game; Another great episode Brad, stay Fly.
