Maybe it's not the longest trailer, and maybe the voice acting makes me happy to know I can choose to play with the original Japanese dub, but watching this trailer teasing the upcoming Western release of Square Enix and Silicon Studio's Bravely Default: Flying Fairy reminds me of the wonderful days when JRPGs were special and fun and beautiful.
Brought to life by the artwork of Akihiko Yoshida, the character designer of Final Fantasy Tactics (!!) and Final Fantasy XII, the look and feel of Bravely Default elevates beyond looking like simple nostalgia fuel and instead looks like a gosh darn fun, deep adventure to head off on with character designs that are grounded but still captivating.
I just want this game a lot, you guys.
The response to its Japanese release in 2012 was very positive and Western fans were pulling for a release overseas for a long time, so it's nice to see that we do get some awesome things, even if others never came our way.
Bravely Default: Flying Fairy releases for the Nintendo 3DS in early 2014.

Not a fan of the game's microtransactions but still this looks great

Another game that makes me feel guilty that I have not touched my 3DS much since I bought it.

Like what Wayward said, not really a fan of microtransactions (especially on a 3DS game) but still looking forward to this game.
