Bethesda has announced The Brigmore Witches, the second and final piece of add-on DLC for Dishonored, 2012's premiere stealth/cool-mask simulator. The Brigmore Witches will conclude the story of Daud, the assassin of whose crimes Dishonored protagonist Corvo is accused.

Players of the first DLC, The Knife of Dunwall, are familiar with the character of Daud and the seedy underbelly of Dunwall he tangles with on his journey revolving around the assassination at the core of Dishonored's plot, and should be happy to know that this DLC not only picks up right from where it left off but accepts save data transfer from Knife. According to the blog, "power, weapon and item upgrades, Chaos level, and player actions" will carry over.

In The Brigmore Witches, Daud sets out to stop a witch attempting to use a ritual which will "spell [his] doom," navigate previously unseen districts of Dunwall, and "fall before the mercy, or punishment, of the Royal Bodyguard and Assassin, Corvo Attano." Sounds like my Tuesdays.

The Brigmore Witches releases for the Xbox 360, PS3, and Steam on August 13th for a price of $9.99 or 800 Microsoft Points, but this has made me wonder whether or not a GOTY Edition for Dishonored may be in our future -it would hardly be a first for producer Bethesda Softworks. If so it likely won't be announced until a little while after the DLC drops, so anyone hankering for some more violence and treachery in the dark alleys of Dunwall may not want to wait.
