If you are one of the two people who have not experienced Final Fantasy IV on the SNES, Playstation, Wonderswan Color, GBA, DS, Nintendo Virtual Console, DoCoMo cellphones, PSP, Vita, iPhone, iPad, or your emulator of choice, never fear: Square Enix has heard your cries and announced the Google Play re-release of the last Final Fantasy which people don't start arguments about when someone in the room says it's great.

Racking up at the kind of high price of $16, Android users can now pluck this gem from the Google Play store and remember all of the happy times which Square Enix annually makes sure you will not forget.

I completely understand that porting this over from iOS is not in any way a massive endeavor, but I'm just so tired of hearing about this game that is as old as I am. Maybe if this announcement was accompanied with a "and Final Fantasy V/VI will be coming soon too!" declaration it would be a little bit less drab, but this is just a reminder that apparently bailing executives and the legitimate fear that the company may close up shop are not strong enough motivations to listen to consumers loudly telling the company what they want.

In other Square Enix news, Final Fantasy XIV will be re-released soon, and they've discovered that lengthy development times without a single word on inner developments given to stockholders and consumers are bad.

I really don't understand. Final Fantasy IV is a ridiculously good game, and an RPG that helped create the genre. Re releasing it on newer platformers so more people can play it is perfectly fine by me.

This same argument could be applied to "Angry Birds is released on so many platforms omg" :/

My problem is not that it's a re- release (which is actually good for some people), my problem is with the 16 dollar price tag. Most of all the re - releases on Android from Square been overpriced.
