Microsoft's E3 press conference has come and gone, leaving many divided opinions in its wake, and now it's time to take a look at exactly what's going to happen on launch day. Launching November in 21 different markets and priced at $499.99 in the U.S., £429 in the U.K., and €499 in the applicable European locations, the Xbox One is an investment $100 shy of the Playstation 3's launch price but still higher than some people are comfortable with. It might help to know exactly what is in the box, and Siliconera has detailed just that.
In and alongside the Xbox One, you will find:
-500GB Hard Drive
-Wi-fi and Blu-ray drive
-Kinect
-Wireless controller
-Xbox Gold 14-day trial
There will also be a "Day One" achievement for those who pre-order the console and get it at launch, and bonus items present in the following games:
-Ryse: Son of Rome (Exclusive multiplayer map and sword with "bonus attributes")
-Forza Motorsport 5 (Four cars!)
-Kinect Sports Rivals (Exclusive sporting equipment)
-Dead Rising 3 (Frank West and Chuck Greene "Tribute Packs")
Does this affect your opinion of the Xbox One at all? Are you more or less convinced to get it after today's events? Chime in on the comments below!

Nope. I'm out and if Sony is the same then I'm going to start looking into building a gaming PC or waiting for at least a year.
The question is how the industry takes that kind of price point. I honestly don't know but to me it looks like these launches are going to be very gradual and though there will be early adopters I can't see them flying off the shelves in truly massive numbers on day one. I could be wrong since there has been the very long gap between generations but that kind of pricing still stings. I didn't expect it to be cheap but that's just on the wrong side of what I was willing to pay on launch.

Probably won't consider getting this for a while but MS do have some noteworthy games.

Yeah, Sony just made my choice a whole lot simpler by undercutting the xbox one price so much.
I would still quite like a gaming PC but the Sony pricepoint is right and just what I was looking for. I'm pretty much sold on the PS4 now.
