Two videos of Final Fantasy XV footage? Impossible, you say! Well, I retort with the above, a totally awesome four minutes of footage which shows that yeah, this game really isn't dead and may actually be within the realm of releasing this decade.
It had better release this decade, because this gameplay just looks excellent. Even within the short running time of this video, we see all kinds of variety here: everything from teleporting around the sides of buildings and slashing dudes to parrying slashes from iron giants to slamming a guy's head into a cop car, Yakuza style. I love the interaction with Noctis' friends, who step in for semi-scripted sequences to offer a quick bit of help before running off and doing their own thing in these surprisingly large conflicts. It'll be interesting to see if these team-up moments are in any way within the player's control. The Kingdom Hearts games have toyed with similar team-up attacks, and this is being helmed by the same group of developers.
And the presentation! Everything is sharp and bright and vivid. Look at the sheen of the destroyed marble column on the edge of the screen in the first few seconds of the video. Look at the particle effects as Noctis whips around his foes. This is obviously where Square Enix's creativity and talent have been hiding these past few years!
Final Fantasy XV will release for the Playstation 4 and the Xbox One. The release date is unknown, but if the polish in these videos and the fact that multiple are being shown at once is any indication, it may be sooner than we think.

I'm curious as to how open the world is, because there is going to be hours upon hours of exploring with that sword-teleportation mechanic.
