In a surprise twist, a recent Eurogamer interview with Respawn Entertainment's Joel Emslie revealed that they want Titanfall to release "everywhere," though he adds "we're just starting out."

Titanfall closed out Microsoft's E3 press conference and was one of their unequivocal hits. The game isn't Xbox One exclusive, currently set to release for the Xbox 360 and PC as well, but the question has lingered among fans whether or not the game could one day jump over to Sony's platform. It has also been theorized that the game is only a timed exclusive for Microsoft systems, so this opens up the possibility of it jumping ship.

Emslie defended their presence on the Xbox One, saying that it was a choice of "quality, not quantity" and emphasizing their "fantastic relationship with Microsoft." That said, when asked about whether or not Respawn was interested in, say, a Playstation release, Emslie responded with "It's definitely not out of the question... We want to make everybody happy, but this is where we're at right now."

Titanfall publisher EA was contacted for comment on the matter and effectively gave a "no comment," but this is food for thought. One wonders if Titanfall would be Playstation 4-bound were it not for the large bags of money that have likely exchanged hands, as is the case with almost all exclusivity deals.

Titanfall is set to release spring 2014.

This is good news to hear for those who are hopeful for a PS4 release but I think I'll stick with the PC version.

Like 4PN and other reporters already said, they were no presence of any EA's IPs at the Sony Press Conference. Clearly, this is another indication that EA is in favor on Microsoft DRM policies for the Xbox One.

So does this mean it will be developed for OUYA and Occulus Rift?
