We all know that Jack Tretton is a corporate executive, and corporate executives are usually the bane of a consumer's existence, but between Sony's defining moment and this interview with CNET, it's hard to argue that the man isn't saying the right things. If this is all a complicated act, hats off to him for playing the role so damn well. We all know that not every console executive is capable of that, Don Mattrick.
This is a solid interview in which Tretton is quizzed on Sony's expectations regarding the press and consumers' response to their decidedly pro-consumer policies, and his personal philosophies on where the industry currently stands and will be gong. After so much cynicism and so much that's just crappy coming from corporate executives, it's just nice to see a guy sit down and talk about how much he believes gaming has solidified its place as an art form.
The only misstep I see in this interview is him saying "William Dafoe." It's Willem, Jack! Way to pull a Don Mattrick.

What I love about Jack is that he sounds like he actually knows games and play them. Most of the times we hear statements from CEOs from different companies, they just sound off, like they don't even understand why games are popular or why they are attractive to people, much less play them.
Hats off to Sony and Mr. Tretton for a wonderful E3.
