E3 2013: Here's The First Witcher 3 Gameplay Trailer

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings stands as one of my favorite games, so I have been anxiously awaiting The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. This new footage, courtesy of Microsoft's E3 press conference, is certainly worth the excitement. Here we see a handful of truly great things: a huge open world, refined combat, gorgeous graphics, bearded Geralt, and the fact that it exists.

Note that despite being shown at the Microsoft conference, this is not an exclusive title to the Xbox One. That said, CD Project RED studio head Adam Badowski had did have glowing words for the Xbox One specifically:

"There's a lot of magic between the third Witcher and Xbox One- we felt it since receiving development kits some time ago.... for the first time we could open the world to the extent we wanted and tell the story with the flair it deserves."

The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt will release for the PC, Xbox One, and Playstation 4 in 2014.
