Last night at the Sony conference, the above trailer for Beyond: Two Souls showed us a completely different game than what we've seen from Quantic Dream so far. I'm getting the impression that this is an incredibly ambitious project, and I'm still not convinced that David Cage is equipped to handle this much story without it eventually falling apart.

We've seen hints that the game is Jodie's backstory and that since a young age she can communicate with a supernatural entity named Aiden. Now we're seeing Jodie enlisted in the army and in some way contributing to what appears to be an intelligent or secret service. Is she a secret government experiment? Some sort of super cyborg? Is Aiden not a spirit but actually AI like EDI from Mass Effect?

Perhaps I'm being too cynical in implying that Quantic Dream won't be able to properly handle this, and I understand that there's a possibility the trailers are being strategically released in this order to represent Jodie's progression, however causing this kind of confusion may be more alienating to consumers than intriguing. What are your thoughts on what we've seen from Beyond: Two Souls? Will you be picking this title up?

Oh I will definitely be picking this up, my only hope is that the gameplay holds up (I don't care much for the story) and judging from what I've seen from gameplay that seems to be the case.

... I just don't care anymore. Only Willem Dafoe matters now... They still have yet to reveal the "Beyond" and "Souls" part in the title to me. I just don't care... Anymore.

I was not a big fan of this game until I saw this trailer! Being primarily a PC gamer for the past year or so, this trailer really pulled me back into wanting to enjoy my PS3 again!

And this time it looks objectively worse. Jesus Christ, how did this turn into a generic third-person cover-based shoot-desert-people game
