If you, like me, heard the news of an upcoming Deus Ex announcement and marked the day on your calendar in excitement, you might want to sit down. Deus Ex: The Fall is not a sequel to Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and it's not even a console game. While that's not a great thing, it's not necessarily a bad thing either.
The Fall takes place after the "Deus Ex: The Icarus Effect" novel, and stars the novel's lead, an augmented ex-soldier named Ben Saxon. Ben is on the hunt for the ever-elusive neuropozyne, a drug which must be taken by augmented humans to survive but is rigidly controlled by the characteristically maniacal corporations who run the world.
As you can see in the video below, the game runs quite smoothly and does seem to feature effectively the same gameplay as Human Revolution, just a bit less sharp-looking and with different controls. That's the hangup for me, really, as Adam Jensen's toolkit of items, weapons and augmentations just barely fit onto a controller, and I'm skeptical about how smoothly it can be translated to touch screen usage. It is said that the display can be customized to fit the player's preference, however, which could alleviate those fears.
Deus Ex: The Fall is not the game I wanted, but if it really does capture every element of the Deus Ex experience, it'll at the very least be a damned impressive iOS game.
The Fall will be the first in a series of mobile games, to be released this summer at the price of $6.99. Check out the announcement video below.

I don't see why people don't like it. I mean yeah sure it's on iOS but I'm happy they are flexing their creative muscle and I look forward to playing it.

I'm really surprised and upset that more people aren't excited about this. It may be a little rough around the edges graphically, but considering how admittedly ambitious of a project it is to put a game from of all franchises, Deus Ex, onto iPad, I applaud Square Enix for taking this chance with something that could well in my opinion create a precedent for games on mobile devices that actually push the system to it's limits.
Year Walk showed us that touch screen controls can be used in unique ways, and that atmosphere can be attained even on such systems. Maybe I'm admittedly getting a little over-hyped here, but The Fall could show that mobile systems can be taken seriously not just thanks to indie developers, but by mainstream companies that give it a chance as a serious gaming device too.

They're trying something different, at least.

Will there be a PC port released sometime after the initial release IOS of this?

Put it on Android and I'd buy it.
