Great show, have to say not sure I agree with Brads complaints about the story in The Last of Us but then again I kinda disagree with his opinions of story in games in general.

It was hard to convey these ideas without stating spoilers. If we were free to reference specific points in the plot, you might see what we're talking about. The delivery is without question one of the best in the business but the actual plot points are familiar territory.

I had finished the game before listening to the podcast so I do have some idea what Brad was taking about but I do agree that a spoilercast may help me understand his complaints.

The ending of The Last of Us may not be the ending that makes everyone happy some people might hate it some might love it but its the ending the story needed and in time people will come to realize that there couldn't be any other ending.

Just so we're clear. The problems we discussed (at least the cliche nature of the story that I was referencing) had nothing to do with the ending. I actually enjoyed the ending quite a bit. It was restrained, well thought out, and self referencial.

I stopped playing Kingdom Hearts II because they just stopped giving story like 15hrs in the game and I just couldn't stand to keep going till the end

So the idea with my Shameful Secret was that game soundtracks are an amazing thing and I used to not appreciate that because I was young and dumb.

Also, for posterity, I said "... was done cromulently in Survival mode." That's also a Simpsons word. Sorry for confusion, Nolan!

That Nolan sneeze at the end almost made my heart jump out of my chest.

    Great podcast guys,
I believe Naughty Dog has released a patch for The Last of Us multiplayer to stop dropping your population when connection is lost.
