True Skate is beginning to resemble the most realistically satisfying skate-game ever, if recent release-date announcement video has anything to prove.  True Axis' latest "hands-on short" came alongside the announcement that True Skate will see the iApp store on October 18th, 2012. The realism of properly using feet -- in the games case, finger --  positioning on the virtual deck to perform their real world counter-parts should make any skater antsy in their skinny-pantsy.

Expected to launch a universal app for $1.99, I'm hoping this is a full-fledged game and not simply a tech-demo wrapped around In-App Purchases (IAP). Evidence of a combo system suggests True Skate will have what I'm looking for. Skating hasn't been represented through satisfying gameplay for what feels like forever, and this new gameplay mechanics True Axis' cooked up looks like its about to change that.

It's amazing to see the stuff an iPad or just any tablet for that matter can accomplish. WE'RE LIVING IN THE FUTURE BABY!
