All five episodes of Telltale Game's The Walking Dead will be released in physical form as part of an upcoming retail package, set for release on December 4th. The standalone version will set you back $29.99, but if you really want to go to town you can pay $69.99 and pre-order the limited Gamestop exclusive Collector's Edition. The Collector's Edition will feature the first 48 issues of Robert Kirkman's comic book series which the game is based off, as well as exclusive cover art by Charlie Adlard.

The more I play of Telltale's excellent series, the more intrigued I am by the comic book series that inspired it, so the Collector's Edition would be a great way to get stuck in. For some reason though, I don't have the same urge to check out the The Walking Dead TV series, which is also based on the comic book. Maybe it's the format (I don't watch a lot of TV), maybe it's my zombie fatigue setting in again, or maybe there's only so much Walking Dead I'm prepared to digest at once. Oh well, I'm sure I'll catch up with it someday.

If you're already familiar with The Walking Dead comics, TV show and video game and you're still hungry for more, don't forget that Terminal Reality and Activision are cooking up a Walking Dead FPS of questionable necessity, set for release some time next year.

I am very excited about this. I have purposefully not played any of it because I want to wait till all episodes are out. I probably wont spring for the gamestop edition but offering the comics with the game is something cool that I've never seen before.

Having read that compendium I can tell you how much of an excellent read it is and how a great a deal this is. Worth every fucking penny and the best part is the book is completely different from the show and the game. I love this franchise every single thing associated with it is different but great in it's own way that's how it should be.
