343 Industries is proving to know the Halo community more than some would have expected, announcing this weekend during PAX Prime that the community-created Grifball mode will be a major part of multiplayer in Halo 4.

Grifball is, for those who need a "clue-in", a halo-based, rugby-like sport tasking two opposing teams to score a "ball" into the oppositions base.  Now, I'm not the biggest of Halo fans but I'm aware of how popular the mode is to fans of the franchise. With little more knowledge in the subject-matter than that, I leave you with a video presentation of Halo 4's revision of the beloved multiplayer mode from 343's Halo 4 panel.

YES!! I absolutely love recycled gametypes/mechanics being thrown into a new title release!
This is why we get "2,3,4 etc" on all these new title releases nowadays. Its seems to be the same shit, just recycled and polished for resale. All in all, I will be passing on this and if I get an urge to play Halo, we can all just pop Reach in. . . . .... . . . .. . . . ... . .

Thanks for the heads up Jeff, keep up the work.

Tch, they'll have new modes. But you know people would have a fit if old favorites weren't in the rotation.

Super excited for Halo 4, but this seems pretty obvious. Grifball actually has a pretty sizable community, and excluding that would be like excluding MLG playlists entirely.
