In case you somehow feel that there aren't enough zombie games on the horizon to look forward to, you're in luck. You're also insane, or have a memory like a sieve, but no matter. Dead Rising producer Keiji Inafune has announced a new project called Yaiba, a game where you play as a ninja slicing your way through hordes of the undead.
On the Comcept website, Inafune announced:
There are countless zombie games out there, and yet, people say they want to see a new Inafune zombie game. I am flattered and grateful, for people associating me as a “Zombie Lover”. For that, I must, answer to this expectation. This new concept for my game was born some time after becoming independent. I don’t want to spoil everything just yet, but I hope you will enjoy my new game that is loaded with stuff I love, zombies, ninjas, robots, and action. It’s called “YAIBA”. I hope you are excited. I know I am.
A teaser trailer for the game has also been released, which features the tagline: "The dead will die again".
It's another zombie game, then, but at least it's being made by someone who has worked on some of the more memorable zombie games in gaming history (Inafune was also the producer of the Resident Evil Director's Cut). You know what I would like to see, though? More games about dinosaurs. Dinosaurs are just as cool as zombies. What's wrong with dinosaurs? The dinosaur game could have a ninja in it too.
Ah well, zombies it is, I guess. Check out the teaser trailer below and see what you think.

"...zombies, ninjas, robots, and action." All we need are some aliens and dinosaurs and we could have a platformer/beat 'em up making fun of modern culture.
