Any PS Move owners crying out for a motion control slasher experience can rejoice. Sony has announced Until Dawn, a "teen horror experience" being developed for the PS3 by Supermassive Games. Don't confuse them with Bastion developer Supergiant Games; Supermassive Games developed Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock for the PSN and Start the Party!, another Move title.
As Supermassive Games explains on its website:
We've been working on this game for a while now, working with Hollywood writers and US TV talent, doing our best to bring the Teen Horror experience to PlayStation. Inspired by classic movies in the genre, we expect that Until Dawn will draw you in with its characters, killer dialogue and shocking, twisted story.
On the anniversary of their friends' disappearance, a group of classmates visit the site of the mystery to bury their ghosts and get some closure. Little do they know, they'll end up burying each other instead...
It's Teen Horror so obviously it's isolated, the power's out and the phones don't work! You'll play through the story as multiple characters, sometimes with a friend and sometimes on your own to discover who it is that’s intent on killing off you and your friends. It’s up to you how you play, so we don't know how your story will go or who'll be there with you at the end.
To play the game you'll use the PS Move controller in a totally natural way. It'll act as your flashlight, guiding your way through the darkness, or when you want to use something the controller will intuitively map your actions in the real world to those of your character’s hand in the game world.
Judging by the accompanying trailer, the game will feature plenty of classic slasher-horror tropes. Isolated cabin in the woods? Check. Ominous looking man with a sack on his face? Check. High school blonde prominently displayed in bra and panties? Check and checkmate.
Until Dawn is set to be released in 2013.

Can't wait to see Brad play it on the feed. Also, that last clip reminded me of the original Nightmare on Elm St.

1:27 reminds me of a certain cheesy bigfoot movie, except with a lot less back-breaking goodness.

Looks pretty cool. I'm not sure I've played my PS Move since I bought it so between this and Okami HD, hopefully I'll finally have a reason to use it.
