I disagreed with Bob heavily on the 'seems like the original' statement. The original games didn't have over the shoulder aiming or a cover system for one lol. I am so happy they decided against regenerative health and interface concepts.

The lack of storyboards do disappoint me I have to say. Were there no comic book elements whatsoever? It may not be the best storytelling method, but along with bullet time, it's one of the things that gave Max Payne it's identity.

Max Payne does a lot of the whole 'he should be dead already' kinda deal.
Bob, you also couldn't dual wield in either Max Payne 1 or 2, you could carry two pistols, or two desert eagles. That's it. This game allows you to dual wield any combination of weapons which I guess can get a little tricky when you start shooting guns with different rates of fire, capacity etc.

As for the aiming, did it not seem to have any kind of aim assist or could it have been turned off? Of course, aiming with a mouse would be easier, but bare in mind that the game was built on console with 360 as the lead platform, I'm sure there's some kind of aim assist. I would play it on PC but I can NOT wait an additional two weeks for it's release.

Short of the storyboards, this sounds like a Max Payne game. It has the narration, the interface, the bullet time, the use of painkillers, and what sounds like incredible shooting mechanics with real weight behind them. I still can not wait to jump back in the shoes of Max Payne and see what crazy shit will happen next.

    Thanks for the recording guys!

From looking at one of the newer videos for mp3, it looks like the storyboard will exist, but will be in the style of The Hulk movie (Thats the best example I could think of).

I've watched multiple interviews on the Max Payne website, and they've stated that (at least for multiplayer, I believe) there will be certain degrees of aim assist. I can't remember if it was just on and off or not. As for the comic panels, there's some existing footage of a live cutscene that sort of splits itself into panels.
