The next generation of systems may be at least a year and a half off but who says that we can't start dreaming of the future of gaming?  Coming to us from indie developer Theory Interactive, Reset looks to be a next gen title built for this one.  Everything in the trailer above is, according to Theory, in-game pre-alpha footage running on the engine.  Yes, that beautiful trailer of Blizzard cutscene quality is real and in-game.

Described as a "singleplayer co-op first person puzzle game", the game will feature a strong emphasis on story and atmosphere with mechanics such as the ability to travel through time to complete puzzles and learn about the world around you.  There's no word yet on what it actually looks to play like but the trailer's enough to sell me on the concept.

Reset currently has no release date... damn it.

I read about this late last night. The time travel mechanic is revolved around completing puzzles with Yourself, which could be interesting in the first-person.

This looks great and no impossible to run on this generation PCs. Any of you played The Journeyman Project from early 90s? That's what this game reminds me of.

ummm...it gave me an impression of a tech demo, and usually those don't always translate into games.

I may change my mind if some gameplay is released, though.

That looks amazing! Plus, any game with time-travel puzzle solving is going to be good, especially story-driven games like this.
