Things on the Bioshock Infinite front have been quiet as of late. For a game that's due for release this October the amount of news thus far this year has been slim. Thankfully, with GDC going on right now, Ken Levine and the fine folks at Irrational Games decided to put out a new video of the game, the first actual gameplay since E3 2011.
This new footage talks about a new set of enemies called the 'Heavy Hitters,' mini-bosses encountered throughout the game that are meant to provide more variety to the enemy selection in Colombia. We've already seen one of them: the Handyman which appeared in the game's first trailer (you know, the one that threw the horse at you). This new Heavy Hitter is another beast entirely though: a robotic George Washington.
Yes, you read that right: the citizens of Colombia came together to create what is called the Motorized Patriot. A Mecha George Washington that would have made Skynet proud, the Motorized Patriot attacks Booker DeWitt with absolutely no fear, seeking him out like he's John Connor. The Patriot, unlike most of the other enemies in the game, will not seek cover and instead will just keep coming after the player. Did I mention he carries a minigun called the Peppermill? Upon the Patriot's death you can pick up the Peppermill and use it but that supposition comes from actually killing it. Oh boy.
Irrational put out a video to show off this new enemy and I've included it below. Personally I'm more worried about the Handyman. After all, it's been nearly two years since that original gameplay trailer and odds are that scene has been completely rewritten. I'd really rather not be beaten to death with a horse.

While I'm glad they showed off a new enemy, I hope that there will be something more amazing later down the game. Hopefully they don't go all Uncharted 3 and toss out a major location in early showings of the game.

Outstanding. I haven't felt so terrified of something so patriotic... I just... I don't even know anymore, man. BioShock Infinite is looking to be a patriotic horror.
