Another Audible Impressions comes your way in the form of Asura's Wrath. David is joined by site writers Tim and Chris Davis to talk about the very Japanese game. How do they feel about the combat? The story? The game structure? How over-the-top is it? It's all discussed here in our newest feature on the site.
Feel free to chime in on your opinions on Asura's in the comments below and we will revisit them on the next volume! Enjoy!

Why hasn't this shown up on iTunes yet? Regardless, still loving this idea.

I think the Episodic content would be more prevalent if the base game was significantly cheaper and it's the content was smaller, with a format of adding a DLC episode every 3-4 weeks. Then it would feel a little less bizarre imo. They could maybe even utilize a season pass of maybe like $20-30 dollars to fund a full season of "episodes", or maybe literally put commercials for other games from the publishers in the commercial breaks(semi-joking on this one). Then story would be feel more like a seasonal anime and less like an OAV and they also could have the funds to produce new content regularly without sacrificing quality.
That would all be extremely dependent on how popular the game was though. I'd love to see a business model like that take off in the future.

This is awesome. Love hearing the extra opinions from everyone else from the site and I love that these are nice and short as well, fits into my current schedule very well.
I still haven't gotten around to checking out much on Asura's Wrath and at the same time I don't know if I have much interest in it right now. Maybe during the summer I may see about renting it because I know I'll probably never touch the game again after I beat/watch it the first time.
