It's this week's Forum Spotlight! In this recurring feature, I point you towards some of the more interesting threads from the past week. If you find any of these threads interesting, by all means, sign up for the forums and share your own perspective.
Last week, we took a look at PJunk's thread about promoting 4Player Podcast on YouTube. We've had a pretty good turnout so far, but we'd still love to see more of what you guys can do! And we're still planning that compilation video, so get your videos up, and there's still a good chance to make it into the final cut!
Moving ahead to the week of February 7th through the 14th, here's some threads to check out:
- White Whales
- Ever had a game just elude you for a while? Sometimes, it's inevitable, too many games come out, and some just fall by the wayside. Or maybe you wanted to play something a certain way, but you just couldn't bring yourself to tackle it. J52 invites you to share these stories, and kicks the thread off with a sizable list of his own.
- PAX East 2012
- If you're planning to attend PAX East, check out this thread for info on other fans of the site, as well as info on the con itself. Fun times will be had by all!
- An evaluation of Deus Ex
- User Tenkail gives us an interesting take on the Deus Ex games. Consider this an open appeal to everyone reading; I'd like to hear your thoughts on the games as well!
- Impressions of the Asura's Wrath demo
- Asura's Wrath is weird. Like, really weird. Several forum members braved this weirdness to bring us their thoughts on the game's recently released demo. Turns out, game's pretty weird, but a lot of people seem to like it.
- Clusterfucks
- Every so often, a developer will carefully craft a segment of a game specifically to remind you, the player, that you are not a god, and you can very easily be destroyed. Often, this is a soul crushing experience, but occasionally, you make it out by the skin of your teeth and soar triumphant against the odds. Even better is when these moments happen completely by accident. AdjacentKitten invites you to share your favorite moments of complete dread as the weight of the world crashes down upon your pathetic soul.
- Valentine's Day Cards
- Kritta gives us some hilariously cute Valentine's Day images. I can't do them justice, so I'll let a couple speak for themselves. (Technically, this thread was posted last year, but it's been updated this year, and it's Valentine's Day, so I figure it's appropriate.)

Oh, so these are every Tuesday, then? Awesome. Might wanna double check the post, though, a couple links don't seem to be working on my end (namely "Last week" and "White Whales").
