We're back from the holidays folks and while some of us are still recovering from a very, er, festive New Years it appears that the news has started up once again. And what better way to start off the new year than to watch as the rumor train has pulled out of the station and is full steam ahead.
This intriguing bit of news comes from the website of one Timothy Williams, a composer for film, TV and games whose pedigree covers such titles as Defense of the Ancients 2, Army of Two: The 40th Day (admittedly the soundtrack was the only decent part of that terrible game) and the 2004 Transformers game. What is interesting about his resume on his website is that it lists God of War IV. Sony has declined to comment on this other than to say their usual "we don't comment on rumors or speculation" but I think it is fair to suggest that this listing won't be on his website for much longer. Williams reached out to Joystiq and confirmed the listing as accurate though he added that Tyler Bates, whom he worked with on The 40th Day and on 2010's Transformers War for Cybertron title, is the game's main composer.
For the Kratos fans among us this is just more proof that Sony is continuing the mythological franchise. Job listings for SCE Santa Monica have perpetuated the rumor of a forth title in the series and the UK gaming magazine PS3M suggested back in April that a Fall 2012 release for the title. All these things add up to the obvious as Sony's first-party line-up going into E3 this year may be a little dry with The Last of Us and Starhawk being the only known titles that won't see a release before June.
God, I just talked about E3 in the future tense, not the past. We're still five months out and it's already begun for me...

I really quite enjoyed Army of two the 40th day. There was more to like then simply the music. The gun customisation was rather indepth compared to most other titles, it was a solid action shooter, it offered customisable masks of which i downloaded a sweet Ironman and Boba Fet. And it gave us the line "Worst zoo ever..."

Hmm.
I can't think of many franchises that wore out their welcome with me quite as quickly as God of War. What started out as refreshingly spectacular devolved into overblown gorn repetition, with a lead that had a hint of awareness and sympathy just ending up a colossal jerk.
Not exactly champing at the bit to see Kratos back, put it that way.

The Army of Tutu soundtrack was horribly generic IMO.

I'm a God of War fan, but I must admit making a GoW VI is prob not the best idea.
I think the game studio should branch out a bit.

.... meh.... kill things by mashing square, open doors by mashing circle
it's like how in Uncharted you basically just mash X to progress through out the game
