This week, 4PP jumps the shark (Well I hope not...)! Jack joins the group this week as we try our best to calmly discuss the recently announced Resident Evil 6. Capcom seems determined to split the loyal Resident Evil fan-base even further by fueling the identity crisis that started with Resident Evil 4. It's a tough conversation to have so feel free to leave your two cents in the comments. We talk some Dark Souls, Skyrim, and some Kingdoms of Amalur as well in the impressions segment. Be sure to subscribe to the show on iTunes if you haven't already because starting in February, the flood gates open and there will be a lot of new titles to play and discuss!

Thing is in Skyrim: If you want to have the best equipment in this game, you HAVE to max out smithing/enchanting. You cannot find nor buy equivalent equipment, even at max level (which is 81 btw, when having all skills at 100) This is also one of the reason why I was kinda disapointed by skyrim and think Dark Souls is the better game, because this makes exploring pretty pointless, since even deadric artifacts are far worse than the shit you create yourself.

Brad is complaining about a grind in Skyrim but said he would play an MMO if he had the time? When a MMO's grind would be 10 times worse?

Oldschool Resident Evil needs a spiritual successor. It's obvious that there's no going back to the franchises roots at this point.

Hmm, hopefully I can chime in on these shark jumping shenanigans and expand on what Nick was trying to explain; In the context of Resident Evil's universe, Umbrella were trying to create bio-weapons that include "magic men" and thus along with all the other monsters (that do seem a tad ridiculous on how they came about) Wesker's enhanced badassery fits within the contextual logic as they were trying to create that.
With the stealth bomber ending, you can't chalk that up to bad luck, why was the autopilot chartered over an active volcano!? It doesn't make logical sense inside or out of the game aside from the developers of 5 wanting a crazy, over the top action ending.
I understand Nick's argument is that the viruses and "magic" abilities are part of the overall lore and story whilst 5's ending was done for an action-packed conclusion to their intentionally action-driven iteration.
Addditionally, if the third protagonist is Alex Wesker then it makes sense as in the lore, their were several Wesker children and supposedly only Albert survived childhood.

Nolan, I played Fallout 3 first and loved it, then one day I found the Fallout Collection (1, 2 & Tactics) for $10 so I decided to get it, even though I'm not generally a huge fan of turn-based combat. So far I've only gotten to play a handful of hours of Fallout 1, but I actually really enjoyed it.
