How about IRC channel? Its not need to be on right next to the feed, but you can open it up from link that opens up a new window directing to IRC channel.

Never cared much for the chatbox personally, if its taking up so much bandwidth then it's probably for the best that it goes.

I don't mind if it goes, honestly. It'll give more posts to the forums, and that's good.

Oh well, I had some good laughs with the forum chatbox. I will miss it.

BUT! If it helps the forum to expand, then I have no problem with it. There are other ways to communicate anyways, like using (Twitch)JTV chatbox or some other medium.

Just get rid of it guys. People need to actually start using the forums anyway that place is DEAD.

Just to be clear, is this the chat next to the feed when you click live? Or the chat on the forums only.

I enjoyed the ChatBox, but obviously it would be silly to ask you guys to keep paying for something unnecessary that some people would use without ever supporting 4PP. I'm just hoping that the loss of that stress will make room for more improvements, and maybe a better attitude overall from both 4PP and the fanbase.

Actually I've noticed that the Funny video/picture threads and the Pony Thread have EXPLODED with new posts ever since chatbox was executed.

I personally have never used the chatbox but I do enjoy that when I see a link posted in the chatbox it's something amusing or funny that I love watching. So while the lurking was fun I don't think I'll be missing it a whole lot.

I wouldn't know half as many people or be as involved with the community without the chatbox. It is a shame it is unavoidable.

I personally never cared for the chat box. I can understand why others would, but I was always just "Meh" about it.

Would be a lie to say the lessening of activity wasn't expected. Coming to the forums just kinda seems... meh, now. Hopefully the alternative gets found soon.
