Syndicate was announced just a few short weeks ago and now that Deus Ex fever has calmed down a little EA has seen fit to release the game's first trailer which you can see below. While the trailer looks indicative of gameplay which, if this is the case, then it looks awesome, what puzzles me is the release date that was announced this week: February 21st of next year. This isn't necessarily a problem given that the majority of games are released within six to nine months of their official announcement but high profile titles like this are usually announced twelve to eighteen months prior.
Whatever the case, the trailer does have me a bit excited. There is something to lament about the trend these days of reviving classic titles as first-person shooters but if this serves as any indication of the quality to expect then I say bring it on.

The game looks fantastic. Unfortunately, the only thing I could think throughout the trailer is that Skrillex is probably making a fortune off of a single song that I'm gonna get tired of quickly. Maybe it's just me, but I swear this is almost identical to his Reptile theme.

I think the game looks fast and cool, with some cool mechanics and features I read about in the giant bomb hands on, still wanna wait for impressions before getting it though

I live the different gadgets and I think that's what's going to seperate thhis game from alot of the 1st person shooters coming out. Damn do some of those toys look cool to use :D

Well, now that I'm seeing it in motion, I can see that it looks nothing like Human Revolution. :P
Also, that gunplay looks fun as hell.

it's a pass for me. although it does look nice, doesn't really grab my attention. Not looking forward to this one.

Looks pretty good! Not a day one purchase for me, but I'll keep an eye on reviews and impressions and maybe I'll change my mind. I'm curious as to whether there are "multiple ways" to get through the game a la DX, since it looks like this fellow's got a lot of nifty skills.

I think the sweet Skrillex music made it seem a bit more heavy on the badassery than it actually is...or maybe i'm just bored with shooters.
