Amazing, right? This could be the title of an Onion article. When Portal designer, Kim Swift, left Valve a couple of years ago to join Airtight Games (developers of Dark Void), I thought... well, I thought she might be insane. But I knew that whatever project she was working would certainly be one to keep an eye on. Well, that game was at PAX. And I didn't see it. I blame Sweet Tooth. In truth, I just forgot about it completely. I saw people walking around the show floor in these giant silly pink hats, and the first thought in my head was: what shitty free-to-play MMO is handing those out? Apparently the Quantum Conundrum booth was handing them out. And apparently, they were also showing a brilliant game from Portal designer, Kim Swift. Fuck my life.
So Quantum Conundrum is a puzzle game. This is where I would start talking about how fun it was to play, but you see, I didn't play it. So how about we just watch Kim Swift play the demo? YAY!

Very cool. At first I thought, "Shifting dimensions? So it's like Portal?" But then after watching it, it's something totally new and entirely awesome. Shame you didn't get to play it.

I never heard of this until now so this was a pleasant surprise. It seems to have a lot of humor to it, I'll have to check this out.

Looks like another great quality game. It also looks a little deceiving. All of the puzzles in this demo looked fairly simple and straight-forward, but I have a feeling it's gonna pull an "N+" and make all the puzzles after 10-25% through fucking impossible.

Oh man I can't wait, it looks great.

That is fucking cool, dude.

As a huge fan of puzzle games and Portal, I am elated. Looking forward to thinking in IDS rather than portals :3

reminds me of the physics puzzles in limbo, and i kinda like the idea of switching rapidly between dimensions to get a job done.

puzzles look coo, but im sad to see it resemble portal too much to my liking. I mean now people might compare it to portal in a lot of ways. Safe (cube) on button to open chamber to next area? How about a robot named "dolly" that "watches" u in each chamber? I know the puzzles will be great, but for the story and characters..I'm not too sure. I hope this does well though

If only someone told you to go see it... ;)

The ability to turn heavy into light!
Make fast go slow!
Make down go up!
Fascinating!

Certainly reminds me of Portal with its humor and puzzles, but I can still see this as a unique game. I think there is going to be some fun to have with just dynamicly riding on safes while not being able to figure out a puzzle.

It's like Valve's Portal meets Double Fine

I'm not a huge fan of puzzle games, but this looks pretty sweet.

i want it!

I'm going to have to seriously consider buying this.

From the looks of that painting the reverse gravity will make things that float drop down which could make for some interesting puzzles.

I heard "interdimensional riffs" and feared some sort of Portal rip-off shenanigans. That went away as soon as I saw the gameplay. These are some really awesome looking puzzles and I love the physics. The "sine wave" movement idea really impressed me, and I love how it all came together.

Very interesting and it seems to have some subtle comedy around the game like portal 1, which I personally liked better. I guess that's too be expected from a portal designer.
Thanks for the article Brad

The "slow time" dimension looks really cool. I hope there's more than 4 dimensions in the final game.

Portal 2.5
Whatever, moving along.

I love portal.
This looks awsome to. And since its just a XBLA title its only gonna be 1200 msp so imma buy it.
Allthough i might see them changing it to a retail game later on.
Anyhow i will follow it seeign if it gets any co-op and how much the full length of the game is.
