Crysis Confirmed for Consoles, Arriving in October

Here I was, on my way to bed when, checking the news one last time, I came across a wonderful bit of news that, up until recently, was still a rumor.  In the words of our founding fathers, HOT DAMN, CRYSIS IS COMING TO CONSOLES!

Yes, Crysis, the PC game that made most people's computers weep in shame at the sheer processing power required to play it properly has been announced for release just a month from now.  The news that Crysis is coming to consoles isn't new as rumors have persisted for long before Crysis 2 was released and it seems that Crytek, the game's developer, has finally found a way to port this great PC title to the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.  I personally loved Crysis despite being late to the party as I didn't have a confidant system to run it on until 2008, the year after the game was released.  What I experienced though was simply wonderful and is easily one of the most enjoyable shooters I've played in a long time.  The details of the game's release are up in the air at this moment as all we have is a trailer to go on but there are several things that we can make a supposition upon.

1.  Given the Xbox Live and Playstation Network logos shown at the end of the trailer the game will retain the quite fun multiplayer component.

2.  The release will most likely not include Crysis Warhead, the game's standalone expansion that explained what happened to Psycho, one of your squadmates during the second half of the game.

3.  With the release date for the game being next month it will most likely be a digital release instead of a retail one.  Start saving up your Microsoft Points kiddies.
