The First Tomb Raider Trailer is Here

God I hope this game is good! I've been playing through the first 4 getting myself all excited for it. Just please Crystal Dynamics don't let me down! Bring us the Tomb Raider game we've longed for all this time!!!

I like the new look they gave Lara: very pretty yet so disheveled and beaten up. Would anyone happen to know if this is releasing this year or in 2012?

I like the voice actor a lot more than the previous. Hopefully it turns out to be good.

Damn good, its getting better and better this gen

The best part of that trailer was the final shot. Not because it was some amazing piece of art or anything, but because there were pirate ships. Pirate ships mean pirate treasure and pirate treasure means adventure. Adventure = fun.

At very least it's made me excited for a gameplay trailer.

Has it been confirmed that this wasn't originally going to be a Tomb Raider game?

That sure was purtay.
Until some gameplay is shown, I'll clutch to my copies of Anniversary and Underworld, trying to make them mate.

But, the voice actress is decent, and I liked the inclusion of an iPhone. Underworld had some cool gadgets, but nothing realistic. Not that it matters, but she could make a net out of everybody's headphones.

I actually just finished replaying Underworld a few days ago, so the contrast in the art style (for Lara is particular) is even more telling to me.

I think the ethic at heart as a good one, it's how the realise it in the actual game. Fingers, as said, firmly crossed.

Yet a nether game I'm vary much looking forward to, now for some gameplay footage.
Soon hopefully.

Oh my god. I hope they show a glimpse of gameplay at E3.

I'm glad they scrapped the cartoony version of Lara cause she looks way hotter.

Survival/Adventure, mehbeh? I can only hope.

I love modern technology. Things are getting more and more realistic. It's a great year to be a gamer.

I was already excited for this game when I heard they were doing a new Tomb Raider and released that first screenshot. I believe that this trailer is showing how much they want this game to be good and appeal to long lost TR fans. I'm getting really hyped up for this one. But a good first trailer isn't proof that it'll be a good game, (I think Dead Island's gonna be a boring L4D clone.)
But i'm hoping they come through with this game as I really want to enjoy a TR game again. And the setting is amazing. Fingers crossed.

I hope this is THE reboot for Tomb Raider.

Computer graphics have come a long way man, I had trouble telling if it was real or not at first. Hopefully the game will be good.

I know we should wait for gameplay videos, but this trailer really gets me pumped for the game. Hope E3 will reveal some good stuff.

Love the tone it sets. Not very keen on how often her voice cracks in this trailer though, it feels too forced.
