Day one of E3 is officially over and we sit down on some comfy couches to talk about all of the announcements that were made at the various press conferences that we attended. We talk about everything from hardcore applications for the Kinect with titles like Mass Effect 3 and Ghost Recon to the newly released details for sony's new handheld, the 'Playstation Vita." It was an exhausting day and the number of actual surprises were few but the adventures we had were well worth the energy we spent. With Nintendo's conference first thing in the morning and a day of appointments and hands-on demos, we are sure to have plenty of content to discuss on our Day 2 podcast. In the meantime, get caught up with the Day 1 festivities with our first official podcast of E3 2011!
Conferences covered:
- Microsoft
- Electronic Arts
- Ubisoft
- Sony

That feel when you fail to mention Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time for PS3 by Sanzaru Games (same devs that made Secret Agent Clank for PSP and put together The Sly Collection for PS3).

I think the error at the beginning of the Microsoft conference was poetically accurate "Please reconnect controller"

Joseph - I'm so glad that they put the y in ryse. if it was an i instead of a y, i wouldn't know how hardcore it is. Win.

I think everyone got a little offended by Brad's statement about the motion controls. What he said about the motion controls is what i say about the handhelds: Until handheld gaming gets to the same level as console game of this gen, I'm not spending a dime on it period. If the motion controls control like something the eye toy did or has limited functions like it does, it's not worth my money. Yeah I understand where Nolan is coming from, but by rushing out a product like move that still isn't anywhere close to being fully operative, I'd rather wait until the tech is where it should be(if not at all. I don't like motion controlled stuff)

Great overview. I have trouble keeping up with news nowadays and it's great to see everything put together in one place, by a group of people I enjoy listening to. Looking forward to the next one!

I think saying "Vita games" with an accent that makes it sound like I'm mispronouncing "video games" is the best part about the name Vita.
