It still amazes me just how soon this Suda/Mikami dream project is coming out. Until recently, we have seen or heard very little of the game outside of a couple of short quick-cut trailers. So it's nice to finally see some real gameplay footage hit the interwebs for public consumption. The footage below isn't great quality, but it does confirm that Shadows of the Damned is, in fact, Resident Evil with a heavy helping of WTF -- minus the seriousness.

The more I see of this game the more I like. Love the B-Horror movie, Evil Dead like style they are going for. So far though it is looking like a modified version of the Resident Evil engine hopefully it is changed enough to feel fresh.

I like the vibes im getting from this game. It's like whatever they couldn't do in Resident Evil due to its seriousness, they just let it all go because I cant imagine Leon going "This is my Big Boner" and stuff like that. I also get urges to play God Hand. My wishes go to this game's success. I found the developer diary to be more informative though.

I get Bayonetta vibes from this game. Both are being compared heavily to former Capcom games by people, and both turn the batshit crazy element up to 11. :)

Essentially it's Resident Evil 4/5 on crack. I honestly cannot wait for this game. Mikami, Suda51, and Yamaoka; what more could you want? It's almost like an all-star team. .

From a gameplay perspective it doesn't look like anything special. Besides the unique setting, it seems kind of boring, in my opinion. Though, they did say it was only a tutorial mission so final judgment will be reserved until more is seen. xP

I really don't think i will be missing out if i don't play this game. it looks bad to me like they threw together a bunch of nonsense and tried to make it work. if this is actually a good game then i have yet to see what will make it good
