According to reports from SystemLink, Starhawk is indeed real, and will be revealed very soon. They also have details from a supposed source at Sony.

Apparently, the game is a lot like its predecessor, Warhawk, but space-y-er. There appears to be no planet to space traversal, but there will be maps in space. Ground combat is still a big part of the gameplay. The game will also be shipping on a blue ray at retail and contain a single player component, unlike Warhawk.

I have wanted a good multiplayer space combat game on consoles for a long time now. More specifically, I've wanted one ever since I watched the pilot of Battlestar Galactica. Now I can live out all my Bradbuck fantasies.

Theres something so satisfying to be about Warhawk. I think its in the rare ability to go from a ground soldier to getting in a plane and taking off seamlessly. No load screens. Just shoot a guy, hop into the plane, take off in seconds, shoot another plane out of the sky, land, and shoot another guy. I could only imagine how awesome this would be in space. I love BSG (i mean look at my user name) and this might be the closest thing we get. If they could only combine Mass Effect and a game like this. Booioooing.

Warhawk was always interesting to me, but I always wanted a single player campaign in it just in case something happened that I wasn't able to get on the net.

I hope this game has it to where it'll be huge epic space battles, just fleets upon fleets of massive ships, You can't tell which way is up, you come around an asteroid and you see just a huge armada staring at you. Complete 360 degree combat too.

I never did bother with Warhawk despite being very interested in team based multiplayer and owning a PS3. Too many games sapping too much of my time. It could be interesting though, but interesting enough to demand a purchase? Who knows.

"Bradbuck fantasies" - That was a good laugh.

Anyway, I am incredibly excited for this. I *love* flying combat games like Ace Combat and especially space because it's fucking space, man. Space is cool.

Wonder if the PSN situation will have any affect on it's launch/reveal.
