Yea Gameloft makes a living off making cheap knock offs just look at the ipod.

Well, at least the cheap knock off games are, cheap to buy as well. I have a few Gameloft games on my Ipad including Dungeon Hunter 2. Hardly spent any money on the purchases, and they offer simplistic fun for the small investment. They're also releasing a PS3 version of their Dungeon Hunter game soon, which is *kind of* a Diablo style dungeon crawler like the portable versions. Seems they're trying to broaden their market away from just Apple portable devices.

Totally original. Gameloft, man. They keep on with the classic games.

Is all gameloft does either existing ips or blatant rip offs like that splosion man game and this? I'd kinda like to see them try something original and make a new ip, that would be interesting. I'm sure the people at gameloft are sick and tired of copying shit, and I'm sure several developers at the company are like "wait a minute..."
they wanna stretch their creativity too as game developers I'd assume!
It does take talent though, to create something so damn similar, but still different enough to get it green lit x3

This may be a rip off of pokemon, and not an original IP, but it does look like gameloft have already done more to the concept than gamefreak, and gone on to sell it for cheaper too. I'll buy this over pokemon black or white any day!

I will say this, at least in battle when he picked an attack it looked like there was a timing wheel of sorts. I think this would (at least personally) make battles in Pokemon a little more tolerable by actually keeping the player engaged. There's no reason why you couldn't have random chance of missing regardless of success or failure at the timing game but at least have that to scale damage when there is a hit. Maybe it would keep me from burning out halfway through every Pokemon game I've tried playing.
