Is there a certain format or style you would like us to use? Like, would you like 3 writing samples? Do you need something along the lines of reviews, first looks, or just our opinions? I'd like to give you guys something you actually want to check out.

Yeah, just asking us to send you a couple writing samples is rather vague. Can you be more specific about what you guys are looking for?

Man this definitely needed. I mean the bulk of the new posts are done by Joseph, which is cool because I love his articles. However it is sad to see that he alone probably writes more stuff for the site than the original members combined. Just look at the homepage.

I'll give this a shot. As far as writers go, are you just looking for additional people to share the work between or are you guys trying to head in the direction of specialized writers such as a PC, Console, Indie game, general release information, and business news writers?

Well, I'd love to do this but I seriously don't think I'd be able to - I don't think I'd have enough to offer as a writer on this website, nor would I be able to dedicate enough time. Also, I simply don't play as many games as you guys. Good luck to everyone else!

I hope you guys do get a couple females to become writers - it would balance out the gender spectrum at least a little, and offer more perspectives in the articles. Just a thought. ;)

I have plenty of extra time and I visit the site and post on the forums almost daily. So I might as well give it a shot especially since I've been thinking of writing a community article anyway.

Is this necessary? There is always this sense of intimacy when I read a post from you guys because through the past three years, I have felt like I have gotten to know all of you so well through the podcast and stream and it would be weird to just introduce a random writer that most of us know nothing about to just begin writing.

I'll definitely give this a shot, I'll get a few samples done quickly.

I did a review once before which I thought was pretty good. I'll try and post it back up and see if the forum mod that deleted it copyed it. Otherwise, I'll just make a sample review.

I would be interested in giving this a shot. I just want to check, these articles can be anything gaming related, as in: news, reviews, opinion pieces. So this is going to be a way of keeping news up to date for the viewers of your website, that will be a nice addition.

Damn, I'd love to do this. The only hard part for me would be finding something to write about every day or every other day. I may think up some writing samples in the next week or so.

I'd love to write for you guys but I'm at a bad place right now struggling to either look for a job or continue schooling and pursue a career. I just don't have the stability and financial security to do it right now. It's a real shame too because I'd love to be part of the team.

Ok, I've submitted some reviews that I've written before, would that be alright? or would a more original style post be more appropriate than just a review?

I don't post on the forums or chat, but I've always wanted to work with 4PP since I first found this site. Writing is a passion of mine, so I'll give this a shot. Time to squeeze some crass gaming literature out of my ass... It's not like I'm busy.

I have sent my application. Hope you guys enjoy it, I tried to get that balance of formal and casual that most of the main reviewers on the site adhere to. Let me know what y'all think. :)

I'm curious to know how many responses you guys have gotten so far. There are quite a few responses here stating they sent something in and I'm sure there are even more than which have submitted applications.

I can see it now: 4PP posts asking for people to apply to help them get through all of the applications. Good luck going through all of these emails for the next 2 months. :P

Have you guys looked at any emails yet? Or are you saving them all and OD'ing a few weeks later? It's going to be a pain if you read them all at once.

A 10,000 word review! Wow must be some kind of mission statement. Using 700-1,000 words should keep reader attention and force yourself to put your points across in a concise manner.

I sent mine in. And you want 3-5 people. And at least 76 people sent you emails, excluding the ones who didn't comment. Is there anyway you can accept more? Because if we reason this out, there will defintely be more than 76 people and the chances 5 out of 76+ seems very nerve racking to want to send in our best stuff and even gives the writer a stab of hopelessness at the sheer odds.
I guess you can't really allow much more people, depending on how this goes, but can you push the number at least a little more?

Even with school, I have a lot of free time on my hands, and I love the 4PP Community. Now that school's done, I will be sending my samples soon probably. I've tried numerous times to have a gaming blog, though I've always stopped because I've made very very long articles that nobody ends up reading.
