Thank goodness for Beyond Good & Evil HD. I'm glad the game came out as it's given me a reason to go back a play a game I wouldn't have otherwise. What sucks though is that I've since gone back to looking up Beyond Good & Evil 2 info, which in it's current state, is up in the air. There's no doubt in my mind that Ubisoft is going to use the sales numbers for BGE HD to determine whether or not to continue with a sequel. I'd never be the type of person to tell someone just to buy a game for the sake of personal reasons. I think it's important to let people make their own decisions and it's my job to offer up as much facts and information to help them make it a well informed one.

So here are the two videos to give you an idea of what kind of potential there is with this series. The first is an official teaser but the second I don't think was ever officially released or confirmed so take it as is.

I'll also be finishing up the first game tonight on the feed starting around seven thirty or eight.

I think there is. I just think Ubisoft doesn't have enough faith in the series to actually try and make 2. Hopefully sales of BG&E HD will be good and they might see that people do care.

Also I think the 2nd trailer was released but then Ubisoft went and said later that "Hurr durr you thought that was BG&E 2? That could be anything!" All that after saying it was 2 or something.

Though I already beat this on PC, I'll try to get the PSN version when it is released.

I never played the original. I'm going to get the PSN version when it comes out. I figure if I like it, good. If I don't like it, at least I helps towards a lot of people getting a sequel they want.

I'm not going to watch it on the feed due to potential spoilers.

This game looked very fun though I didn't own an xbox, so I'll get the PSN version but I told my friends that they should try this game and what did they say? "Ugh, that games old." "Sounds boring."

The second one reminds me of a mix of Assassins Creed and Mirrors Edge.

I have never persoally played Beyond Good and Evil but just watching it and listening to what people say about it, just sounds awesome. It'd be a shame if there wasn't a sequel.

I think that they should definitely make another Beyond Good and Evil. The first one was compelling, goofy in some ways, but definitely a good game. There should be another one, one that really takes another spin on the series.

The gameplay footage looks more than good enough to sell me now, and with an already established cult fanbase, this game wouldn't have a hard time selling....

Still, I can easily imagine Ubisoft pussying out on this, its a shame.

It's fun witnessing the grades of this game, back in the day it was released at a bad time and received 70's or scathing 50's. Now its almost a 90 and above because of it's cult classic status.

The interest is there I think, I personally probably won't miss the stealth gameplay if they did something else with it. After all the characters and story carried the game more than the puzzle like stealth.

I really hope so as I am enjoying the HD remake. I worry that many of my game loving buddies have not taken the 800msp plunge on this yet and may damage the chances of us seeing a sequel :-(

I seriously want this. Except I don't like the theme in the gameplay footage. It looks a little too much like Uncharted/Ass Creed. I liked the colorful goofy fantasy setting of the first game. I don't understand why they have to make it realistic.
The first trailer is an exception though. That looked really good and captured the feel completely, even if it isn't colorful and goofy-like.

I must agree though, David, that not enough people played/bought the first game and therefore Ubisoft might get the wrong idea. I think the sequel would sell much better than the original if they made some good trailers and built some hype around it.

I've quite enjoyed watching it on the feed, when I get a little more cash this week I'm planning on picking this up. Looks like a great game!

i've only played the original on the gamecube. I still think its a great game, though if not very short. I think a sequal would be good. theres still a lot of unanswered questions and a lot about Jade we still don't know. Does she have more super natural powers now? like a clarvoincy after having the alien part of her tapped into?

    just potential story wise.

I watched the play through, mostly because I don't think I will buy this. Though I'd like to see another, but I think Assassins Creed covers this style of gameplay. I can see the differences in setting and some differences in gameplay, but Assassins Creed hits a larger fan base. I personally found Assassins Creed to not have enough bang for my money. If Ubisoft revisited Beyond Good and Evil it would probably be very good given their work on other IPs.
