Hey guys,
I just wanted to gauge interest and see if this was something possible worth doing. There's a 10K in Austin in March. Nolan and I were planning on doing it already but we had this idea of maybe doing it as a community?
10K is a little over 6 miles. The good thing about this one if that, there's a Fun Run portion so the group wouldn't need to run the entire thing, we could walk or goof around. But there is a costume portion for the Fun Run and I was thinking that maybe with a large enough group, we could win one of the awards. If we should get a large enough group together, we were thinking of maybe all dressing up as Pikmin. We could color coordinate the group to wear red, blue, or yellow. The difficult thing would be getting the sprout hats, but we can worry about that if there's enough people.
So if anyone is interested in coming to participate in Austin, it would be on Sunday March 27th. I'm pretty sure I can get Brad, Nick, Carlos, and maybe some local developers involved. There's probably gonna be a cost for the costumes and to enter but I can't be sure until I have an approximate number of people we can get.

Do you know the driving time from Houston to Austin? Because I think that race is during my spring break, I might go. :D

I live in Tx. but way south (edinburg-harlingen) -_-, though what you can do for the pikmin hats is possibly using a regular party hat with a paper leaf. idk just trying to be helpful in some way

On the race date ill run 3 miles in the direction of Texas n then 3 miles back home, hows that sound? :B

Pikmin would be a great costume design, if it weren't for the fact that most of the judges for the costume contest wouldn't get what they were. Also, I live in New York, so I can't lol. Does sound like fun, though.
