Today Rockstar released the first in a series of new gameplay videos of L.A. Noire, similar to the Red Dead Redemption gameplay videos of last year. It shows off a general overview of the game, including what seems to be the most interesting thing: the various investigation systems. It is scheduled to be out this May on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.

I can see why people say this game will revolutionize the vidya industry. I've never seen facial animations like these before. It's going to make all the other videogame characters look like a ventriloquist's puppets.

I am so glad I finally have evidence to back up my claims that this game will be godly. I cannot wait to play this, 2011 will be a great year for sure.

I hate to say it, but the faces in LA NOIRE look too good compared to the bodies. It gives a jarring effect. #uncannyvalley

Wow, that's impressive, although I honestly didn't expect to see the type of shootouts typical of Rockstar in this game.

I can't wait to see a gameplay trailer more in depth on the investigation. So far each component to the game seems to be highly detailed. I am happy to see some of this because one of the things that really intrigued me was how joystiq had had a hands on and played a case that lasted roughly an hour and a half and only had to enter a shootout for a small section to the end of that segment.

I would just like to let people know that Team bondi is developing this, not Rockstar. It's not Rockstar's next big project. They are only publishing it.

Well anyway looks great and I hope to see more.

Whether this game will be so realistic looking it will be amazing or be trapped in the uncanny vally we can't tell just yet but I do like the look of the gameplay.

The Rockstar combat and finding the big "G" of the RDR and GTA formula is complete shit. I really hope this isnt more of the same and this game actually is interesting. Heavy Rain is the freshest thing this generation and I hope its more along those lines.

still think square enix has best animations >_> although if we are talking STRICTLY facial expression...i guess this beats squares by a bit. still gotta give it to square for getting close to it without this new technology...crazy asians, theyre damn good at everything lol
