It looks like Rockstar is finally willing to commit to release date for L.A. Noire with the release (or leak) of their most recent trailer. This trailer has only recently hit the net but expect it to be pulled soon so watch it ASAP!
L.A. Noire is among my most anticipated games of 2011 and I think a large part of that is because it is so shrouded in mystery. While all of the trailers have been built using in-game footage, we have yet to get a real grasp of how the game will look and feel when you are actually controlling the characters.
On a side not, I've always thought that crediting Rockstar, "The creators of Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption," is a bit deceiving considering Team Bondi, a team formed by talent who worked on "The Getaway" are developing it. However you look at it, there is no denying the intrigue of such an ambitious game. MAY 17, 2011 couldn't come soon enough.

Wow, if I had just heard the audio, I would have thought this was a movie. That's fucking impressive, right there! And coming out in May, god damn!

The cut-scenes are going to be amazing for this game, and your detective work... actually looks tough, cause you actually have to look at the guys facial expressions, that could mean someone could be an expert at concealing their expressions. Anyways, can't wait.

Here is the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PsX4ONz-NFQ
I don't know if it is the uncanny valley, but something just doesn't feel right about their faces. It kind of looks like their faces are just projected onto their heads.

Fuckin Take 2 man. Anyway, there is a video that I have that isn't being claimed.

This ISN'T the same video as Nick was talking about, but this one does talk about how they capture the faces and has JOHN NOBLE in it, so I think it'll suffice as a fill in while we wait for a non copyright-claimed video.
Oh and I've been really excited for this game for a while now. I get a Heavy Rain vibe from it, however close they actually are is probably much less than I would hope. But I still really want this game, so May 17th will be marked down on my calender.

"L.A. Noire is among my most anticipated games of 2011"
Putting all your chips on the table on an unproven developer is pretty ballsy. It will be interesting to see how much Rockstar has say in its overall development if any at all. We could potentially see a unique and brilliant story set as a time period piece or it can fall short and just be another skin to a pseudo GTA game. Either way I am definitely keeping my eye out on this release but will remain skeptical until more footage is released.
