I really wished I had skipped the DKC after the first quarter I really couldn't stand the knock against the originals as I still play those games and still find them as great as the first day I played them and yes I mean mechanically rose tinted glasses aside. David was the closest to correct, DKC was great because of the speed that every level allowed, I could easily beat the original Donkey Kong in about 2 hours maybe I'm the person this game is aimed at but just hearing about the controls already tells me someone missed the point of the original DKC trilogy of course I guess it all comes back to my particular taste in games and how they should be presented. Still great Podcast as always.

Seeing that DKC Returns being implemented with the motion controls just to reach the "standards" of a typical Wii game (as if there was no choice but for Retro Studios to put it in). It basically changes the game for the worse, in my opinion. The rolling button now becomes a single shake of the controller, which I can see it being annoying and just doesn't seem right. Why did they even think of putting motion controls into a 2Dish game if it just hinders and even challenges you to "step up your game?" A game like New Super Mario Bros. Wii has those same problems too, since the implemented motion controls made the game more hectic than it's supposed to.
